Laser Plasma Laboratory of the Laser Plasma Division is dedicated to work on laser plasma interaction with special emphasis on research related to generation, characterization and application of xuv-soft x-ray radiation emitted by the hot plasma. Four high power laser systems have been developed by the laboratory and these have been used in several investigations of contemporary interest The latest thrust area of the Lab is in laser-matter interaction at ultra-high laser intensities using ultra-short pulse lasers.
