We organize biennially the DAE-BRNS National Symposium on Pulsed Laser Deposition of Thin Films and Nanostructures for the scientists, technologists and young scholars pursuing research in the pertinent thematic domain. The first PLD meet (PLD-01) was organized at Raja Ramanna Centre for Advanced Technology (RRCAT), Indore in 2001 and subsequent meets were held at the University of Pune, Pune in 2003 (PLD-03), S. V. University, Tirupati in 2005 (PLD-05), at Saurashtra University, Rajkot in 2007 (PLD-07) and at Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM), Chennai in 2009 (PLD-09).
