All Solid State Pulsed Power Supply

All solid-state pulsed power supplies (ASSPPS) overcomes the life-time limitation of conventional Thyratron-based pulsed power supplies. ASSPPS employs a combination of IGBT semiconductor switches and magnetic (NiZn ferrite) switches in place of Thyratron.  Magnetic switches do not encounter the problems of high di/dt, high peak current and repetition rate etc, lifetime limiting parameters of Thyratron switches. We have developed an ASSPPS for driving high average power TEA CO2 lasers.
