Research Activities

The excimer laser section is involved in research and development related to Excimer lasers and their applications.

Excimer Lasers developed:

1. Repetitively pulsed XeCl excimer laser.
   • XeCl laser driven by thyratron based exciter
   • XeCl laser driven by all solid-state exciter
     
     
2. KrF excimer laser.
3. Following excimer laser activities will also be taken up:
   • Excimer laser systems capable of producing 0.5 J pulse energy.
   • Krypton Chloride (223 nm) laser
   • Micro-machining applications of engineering materials
   • Sub-nano second excimer laser pulse amplification.
