This section is involved in research and development related to excimer (Krypton Fluoride, Xenon Chloride lasers) and chemical (Chemical Oxygen Iodine Laser : COIL) lasers. The section is also working on Pulser sustainer TE CO₂ Laser and a high repetation rate grating tuned TEA CO₂ Laser.

This Section contains the following lab:

• Chemical Laser Lab: This labaratory is working on a 500W supersonic COIL.
