Self-shielded low energy electron Accelerator:

Self-Shielded Low Energy Accelerator (SLEA) is being developed in our centre. Installation of this accelerator is in progress.

- Planer diode gun with LaB6 Cathode

- Titanium electrodes diffusion bonded with high Alumina Ceramic NEC make or Russian Tube or indigenous

HV Scheme

Multi stage, N2/CO2 gas ( at 5.5 bars) insulated balanced Cockroft- Walton Multiplier with driver frequency of about 40 KHz

Beam Scanning width

50 cm - 100 cm on the product

Window Foil

25 to 50 micron

Scanning Frequency

100 Hz

  • Curing of materials such as laminates, printing inks, paints, and coatings as well as transparent films.
  • Sterilization of food packaging materials.
  • Curing of wooden materials.
  • Manufacturing of heat shrink film.
  • EB curable silicone coatings products for a wide variety of paper and film applications.
  • Surface Irradiation of fruits, vegetables, cut-flowers, seeds etc
