Super Heated Water Generator

Vacuum chambers of INDUS-2 are made of aluminium alloys. For uniform and controlled baking of these chambers, super heated water was the best option.  Indigenously developed superheated water bake out system was utilized for in-situ baking of these chambers. Power requirements for an in-situ bake out at 1500C was calculated as, 0.64 kW mt-1 and 3.2 kWmt-1 for straight section and dipole chamber respectively (for one baking segment 60 kW).
