Indigenously Developed UHV Gate Valves
Two types of vacuum isolation bellow sealed UHV Gate valves of sizes DN63 and DN100 have been developed and batch produced. The critical developmental areas in the valves were bellow welding technique, fabrication of leak free body and trolley mechanism. About 25 numbers of valves have been given to users in RRCAT viz Indus-1, Medical Microtron, Laser Labs, as well as in DAE.
PLAVT Lab has also developed DN63 CF and DN100 CF Butterfly valves for high vacuum applications. Around 20 valves have been given to Laser Systems Engineering Division, RRCAT.
