RF systems & control division is responsible for the design and development of RF systems and equipments for the various accelerators built at RRCAT, Indore. The group has developed klystron and vacuum tube based high power amplifiers, Solid state amplifiers, low level RF control electronic systems, high voltage DC power supplies, waveguide and coaxial line based passive components and PC based RF supervisory systems. Considerable expertise has been developed in the field of RF physics and beam dynamics design of different cavity structures and their characterization. Because of critical nature and unavailability of many high power, RF components from foreign sources, special efforts were put up for indigenous development of microwave tubes, like klystron and magnetrons, Thyratrons, RF loads, Directional couplers and RF synthesizers. Different RF systems and development activities are listed below. |
