2kW Solid State RF amplifier at 505.8 MHz

Similar development was started at 505.8 MHz. Successful developments and testing of 300W modules led to assembly of 2kW amplifier rack at 505.8 MHz. This rack comprises of eight numbers of 300W amplifier modules, two numbers of eight-way power combiner/divider, high power square coaxial type directional coupler and driver amplifier stages. Design architecture is similar to amplifier at 352 MHz, except water cooling, used in present case. Four modules were mounted on one copper heat sink. Two heat-sinks come opposite to each other with control electronics at the front side.
