Computer Centre
|
Activities of Computer Centre have been concentrated around providing state of the art computing, networking and communication infrastructure, development of software, networking with Internet and Intranet services, communication services etc.We provide computing support to R&D projects in RRCAT. This includes high end computing, cluster based computing and programming support for scientific applications.
We provide fast, reliable and robust organization wide network facilities, which includes high speed desktop access to Internet, Intranet and E-mail services.
In addition to above we develop client server based and web based software packages for various information management applications.We also support voice and data communication requirements of RRCAT through a close network of two Omni PCX 4400 exchanges. This includes operation, maintenance and expansion of telephone network in RRCAT campus.

ERNET PoP at Computer Centre provides Internet connectivity to various educational and research organizations. It supports different connectivity options to connect wider user-bases located in remote areas.
