Booster Synchrotron
The booster synchrotron can accelerate electrons upto 700 MeV. The
magnetic lattice of the booster synchrotronis separated function type and
has six super periods. each consisting of a dipole magnet to bend the beam
in a near circular pathand one focussing and one defocussing quadrupole
magnets. The maximum magnetic field of the dipole will be 1.32 Tesla for
electron energy of 700 MeV. Straight sections between two dipoles
accommodate quadrupoles, RF cavity, injection and extraction magnets, beam
diagnostic devices and vacuum ports.
